About Us

Sons of Confederate Veterans Camp 745
Order of Confederate Rose Chapter Six

We are part of a national organization known as the Sons of Confederate Veterans. This is neither, a hate group or political organization, but rather a historical, patriotic organization dedicated to preserving the true history of the events during the years 1861 – 1865.

The Sons of Confederate Veterans have ongoing programs in local, state and national levels that offers members a wide range of activities to preserve our Confederate history. The activities of the local units or Camps include; preservation work, marking Confederate soldier’s graves, historical reenactments, historic publications, historic presentations and regular meetings to discuss the military and political history of the War. The Sons of Confederate Veterans rejects any group or individual whose actions tarnishes, distorts or brings reproach upon the image of the Confederate soldier or his reasons for fighting.

In conjunction with the Sons of Confederate Veterans, the Order of the Confederate Rose shares our monthly meeting. Membership in the Order of the Confederate Rose is open to those ladies, whose husbands are members of the Sons of Confederate Veterans.

Full membership is open to all male descendants of any veteran, who served honorably, in the Confederate Armed Forces. Membership can be obtained through direct or collateral family lines. Relation to a veteran must be documented genealogically. The minimum age for membership is twelve (12). Less that full membership is granted to those who are interested in joining the Sons of Confederate Veterans, but do not have a Confederate Veteran in their family line.

Our meetings consist of a regular business meeting with a historical lecture following and are held the 3rd Monday of the month, at the Pig Barbeque Restaurant. Our meetings begin at 7:00 PM. If you are interested and would like to attend, please consider this as your personal invitation. For additional information, contact Bob Sieg at 904-879-4514.
